This course is designed for experienced real estate professionals and focuses on the title, settlement, tax, and insurance issues that commonly disrupt or delay residential real estate transactions. Through real-world scenarios and practical examples, participants will examine title defects, vesting complications, survey and boundary issues, title insurance misunderstandings, closing delays, wire fraud risks, and settlement-related tax concerns. The course emphasizes proactive problem identification and practical strategies to prevent issues from escalating into failed or delayed closings.

  • Identify transaction red flags early in the contract period to reduce closing risk.
  • Differentiate between lender’s and owner’s title insurance and explain common coverage misconceptions.
