This 90-minute class covers essential information for effectively serving military clients, starting with an introduction to why and how to work with military personnel, including the pros and cons, and the rewarding sense of service. It explores military life and mindset, including frequent relocations, stress factors, military culture, and lingo. The course then focuses on communication strategies, such as understanding military ranks and acronyms and knowing what to do and avoid in conversations. Participants will learn about working with military buyers, including navigating military orders, research resources, sight-unseen purchases, and VA loan eligibility. The class also covers working with military sellers, managing military timelines, household goods, and VA loan options. An in-depth look at the VA loan and addressing biases that may arise with clients and agents are discussed, followed by a wrap-up session with Q&A to reinforce key takeaways.
